About the Job

OpenSesame is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Curation team as a Business Development Specialist. This role is a gateway to the world of online training where you will seek, research and evaluate potential new partnerships.

Requirements

  • Actively seek new content libraries to add to the OpenSesame Marketplace
  • Conduct extensive market research to discover emerging trends in elearning
  • Analyze OpenSesame current product offerings using audits, search data and customer feedback
  • Develop and maintain publisher relationships 
  • Assist with implementing, improving, and maintaining our publisher onboarding process
  • Collaborate with marketing and curation to ensure publishers success
  • Be the product expert for newly onboarded content libraries
  • Conduct quarterly business reports with publishers
  • Mentor and work with publishers to improve and enhance their product offering
  • Recommend actions or changes for quality improvements and ensure implementation 
  • Collaborate and assist the product team, catalog manager and QA specialists to improve overall product
  • Analyze  and suggest improvements for current business processes including marketing and branding efforts
  • Maintain Salesforce with active pipeline of incoming product additions
  • Identify opportunities to address business challenges, gain new insights to drive business growth, and improve publisher relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, or a related discipline
  • 2-4 Years experience in marketing, sales, account management or a related field 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze data
  • Ability to create business plans with actionable objectives
  • Strong networking skills required
  • Strong project management skills required
  • Strong Google suite computer skills required
  • Work well in a team environment, possess an ability to adapt to change in the environment, and have a proven ability to exert influence in a directive and positive manner
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills to handle juggling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team through direct or indirect management
  • Demonstrated technical analysis capabilities including financial forecasting and data analytics 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and employ effective time management skills
  • Industry experience working with training and HR related data sets a plus.
  • Salesforce or CRM experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of instructional design, specifically, as it can be applied to eLearning a plus
  • Basic knowledge of learning management systems and eLearning rapid development tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline) a plus
