Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing staff management and delivery of high quality, transactional and administrative HR services at one of two regional HR Shared Services location. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS include the following:

  • Promote a service-led continuous improvement culture, to achieve high levels of stakeholder service. Select, develop, train and manage staff to ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered along with the efficient operation of the HRSS Global model
  • Management of day-to-day operations including workflow, knowledge management dissemination, case management, quality customer services, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operation Level Agreements (OLAs), and production of regular reports and metrics for Senior HRSS Leadership to facilitate decision-making and to measure both effectiveness and efficiency of operations
  • Bring together and harmonize all tiers of HRSS case management into one cohesive team
  • Leverage standardized global processes, tools, and technologies to ensure quality service to our customers and to provide backup operations support for our global HRSS colleagues and customers, as required
  • Actively participate in Global HR meetings, as required
  • Establish operational objectives and work plans, and often delegate assignments to subordinates
  • Contribute to the integrity of employee data by performing periodic reviews and updates, where necessary
  • Serve as a vendor contact and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing. Serve as a member of the HRSS Leadership Team to plan, design, develop and continuously evaluate HRSS system functionality, programs, policies and service delivery
  • Quickly and accurately, resolve cases in a professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive relationships with HR professionals, employees, and managers to support company-wide HR initiatives
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
  • 10 years of HR related experience
  • 5+ years of experience within a shared services environment
  • Experience supporting a diverse, complex, service and production environment
  • Experience of managing and negotiating service level agreements with many different parts of an organization
  • Knowledge of best practices in shared services, leveraging new technologies
  • Ability, competence and confident in leading people
  • Must be proficient in MS office products to include Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintain confidential data
  • Ability to analyze situations and interpret facts to make decisions and resolve problems
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull and use repetitive wrist and hand movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 25 pounds. Hearing, seeing ability of rapid mental coordination. It is required to be mentally alert for entire regular shift.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will typically work in a climate controlled building in the corporate office of Parker Drilling.
