ABOUT THE ROLE

Personal Capital is looking for a Content Manager to help us scale our content marketing program in 2020 and beyond. This role will work closely with our Sr. Content Marketing Manager to develop and execute a content strategy that will increase Personal Capital’s brand awareness and organic reach. You’ll bring both big ideas and digital marketing savvy to the table to develop educational and entertaining content and build a highly engaged audience around our media hub.

 

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with B2C content marketing strategies. You’ll have a proven track record of creating highly relevant, useful, and action-oriented content for specific audiences. You’ll also be willing to roll up your sleeves to manage processes to help ensure successful execution of core programs and strategies. This is a highly collaborative role, meaning you’ll be working closely with members of our PR, creative, advisory, and product teams to bring Personal Capital’s story to life through our content marketing program. This role can be located in San Francisco, Redwood Shores or Denver.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to create content (articles, e-books/whitepapers, interactive content, webinars etc) for our Daily Capital content hub, and to support and differentiate our product and service offerings
  •  Assist in managing content pipeline: coordination with freelance writers, ensuring timely execution of content calendar
  • Process and project management support: assist with compliance processes, fact checking, copyediting, etc.
  • Ensure high-value content marketing collateral is kept up to date; frequently refresh high performing content
  • Assist with fielding and prioritizing incoming content requests from other departments
  •  Work with SEO agency on weekly content optimizations and execution of special projects
  • Maintain our Wordpress site with minor technical fixes, execute on earned link building strategies, etc.
  •  Manage and create content for Personal Capital’s organic social channels
  • Collaborate with our PR and creative teams to brainstorm and execute on multi-channel content and media campaigns that will make Personal Capital a household name
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and internal stakeholders on our Product Marketing, Advisory and Personal Capital Cash teams.

 

Experience:

  • 4+ years writing experience for a B2C brand
  • 3+ years marketing experience with a strong content focus
  • Exceptional writing and/or blogging skills - ability to create compelling, creative written content
  • SEO experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Wordpress
  • Social media experience a plus
  • Fintech/finance experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented, ability to manage complex processes with limited oversight
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization
