Core Hours:
Night shift - Tuesday - Friday 4pm-4am

SUMMARY

Serves as a technician of the loading dock, ensuring the safe transfer of products to and from vessels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Transfers completed product from lines to Warehouse.
• Stages finished goods in order of delivery schedule.
• Scans labels to record location and quantity of finished goods.
• Determines how product should be loaded and secured in vehicle based on product mix and delivery schedule.
• Runs reports for list of products needed for loading trucks.
• Assures that all products have been manufactured and are ready to ship.
• Retrieves orders from warehouse for customer pick-ups and help load their product.
• Develops plan for loading products on truck based on amount to be loaded.
• Retrieves products from warehouse.
• Loads material into vehicles and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent damage in transit.
• Operates a forklift.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Able to pull hand truck loaded with finished goods to warehouse.
• Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs regularly.

• Must be dependable and a good listener.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Able to accept responsibility and follow through.
• Capable of performing tasks of Packer.
• Reads and uses tape measure.
• Determines dimensions of boxes or crates needed and assemble.
• Interprets computer screens to determine production status and location of product to be packaged.
• Operates and understands maintenance requirements of hand and power tools.
• Reads and understand production ticket to determine necessary product to be shipped.
• Understands packaging requirements of different products.
• Understands process for transferring completed product to warehouse prior to packaging.
• Demonstrates team skills, safety awareness and good housekeeping.
