About the Team:

The Product Knowledge (PK) team partners with product managers and project managers to create documents that describe Rally’s products. When we create a new product or enhance an existing one, Product Knowledge explains the new experience, describes the value of the change, and gives clear guidance to our stakeholders about how their workflow may be impacted by the change. We provide critical information about the features Rally is launching,  how our users will interact with them, giving Rally teams, and our partners, the knowledge they need to support the member experience.

Your day to day:

  • Editing and formatting a variety of documents to align with the PK style guide
  • Writing team process and other documents with the support of PK team members 
  • Updating the Rally glossary and terms
  • Attending meetings with PK and the teams we support to gain understanding of product updates
  • Providing administrative support to help the team’s processes run smoothly
  • Allowing the team to provide a greater level of support for Rally’s Product organization, and our other stakeholders
  • Creating documentation that is much needed but that the team currently doesn’t have the capacity to support on a regular basis

Your core responsibilities:

  • Write team process documentation (involves interviewing team members, writing processes, circulating for review, revising and publishing)
  • Write product documentation, if assigned
  • Update the Rally wiki with business process documentation
  • Provide proofreading and editing support
  • Complete qualitative and quantitative research projects

About you: 

  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Communications, English or another related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadline
  • Ability to work confidently, both independently and in a team
  • Naturally curiosity and possess passion for creative problem-solving
  • Familiarity with Google Enterprise tools (Gmail, Gcal, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with JIRA would be nice to have
