We are a non-profit long-term care facility sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Joseph looking to hire a full-time Director of Housekeeping.

Summary:

The Director of Housekeeping will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the Housekeeping /Laundry team in the overall operation of the Department, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and policies of the Villa.

Job duties include:

• Establish standards and work procedures for the staff to work as a team, in accordance with established policies of the Villa.
• Interview, select, hire, evaluate, and coach personnel.
• Evaluate employees to maintain high level of professional service and resident satisfaction.
• Plan work schedule and assign hours and areas of work.
• Prepare time sheets for Payroll office/ Monitor and plan work schedules.
• Keep current with the research to improve housekeeping techniques.
• Conduct regular department meetings.
• Work with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
• Maintain the records of the housekeeping department; prepare budget, work reports and other administrative tasks.
• Inventory housekeeping supplies and equipment and requisition new or replacement of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Director of Housekeeping preferred, but will consider all applicants with relevant experience
• Demonstrated great organization skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
