Position Overview:

The Resident Services Partner (RSP) provides direct personal care and supervision to the residents in the community.  Promotes resident well-being and satisfaction through support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and acts as a Universal Worker for other resident/community needs including EVS (housekeeping), Life Enrichment, Dining and general customer service-related tasks/responsibilities. 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Assist residents with non-nursing ADLs including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, transferring, and toileting – following community protocol, licensing regulations, and guidelines for both resident and employee safety. 
  • Provide light housekeeping for resident apartments on a daily/as needed basis. This includes emptying of trash, dishwashing, and light straightening of apartment/bathroom. 
  • Collaborate with Life Enrichment staff, and be trained to set-up, lead/conduct, document and breakdown resident activities – for both one-on-one and group activities. 
  • Support the community’s dining function by providing in-room dining deliveries. Assist dining staff with set-up, breakdown and clean-up of dining functions within the community and in other ‘common’ areas. 
  • Act as a customer service liaison for residents and their families. Field, document, communicate and trouble-shoot resident service issues/complaints. Participate in service recovery meetings/initiatives when applicable. 
  • Document care provided to residents for ADLs, change of condition, and any other event/situation that warrants documentation. 
  • Follow safety guidelines in the community, including proper lifting technique and universal precautions when aiding the residents.
  • Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed. 
  • Follow a specific schedule of universal duties for the Resident Services Partner (RSP), as well as the individual plan of care for each resident. Answer all call lights promptly.  
  • Oversee (non-skilled) resident mood, eating habits/satisfaction and participation in activities – acting as required to promote resident well-being. Report status changes as they are observed. Document when required.  
  • Act immediately on any resident issues consistent with training, following protocol and basic first aid, and calling medical staff if deemed appropriate.
  • Conduct other ‘universal’ functions such as providing administrative support to Supervisors, delivering mail/packages, acting as a community ‘runner’ and other duties as assigned. 
  • Promote open communication between health care professionals, families, residents, and staff.
  • Adhere to guidelines in the employee handbook including dress code, conduct, scheduling, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with peers and customers
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents/patients, families, and other employees at all levels
  • Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
