SCIENCE MUSEUM OKLAHOMA Guest Relations Team Member Salary in the United States

Objective

The Guest Relations Team Member provides superior customer service to all museum guests. This position works in the Guest Relations Department answering the main phone line for the Museum. This position registers groups, parties and special programs and takes other reservation calls.

Essential Functions

• Answer the main phone line for the Museum and responds to guest questions and requests in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Greet visitors, monitor traffic flow, and assist customer service with information.
• Ensure that correct payment is received for scheduled reservations.
• Greet large groups upon arrival and facilitate their visit to museum (includes confirming headcounts, taking payments)
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and appearance as a representative of Science Museum Oklahoma to the public.
• Maintain physical appearance of museum by keeping areas clean and organized
• Ability to capitalize on sales opportunities, delivers outstanding service, and efficiently administers the ticket and membership sales process.
• Proactively maintain a knowledge base of all museum programs, shows, memberships and auxiliary services.
• Clerical duties as assigned and handling purchase orders for groups.
• Assume other responsibilities and tasks as requested.

Credentials/Experience

Preferred Requirements

• Open availability including Saturdays and weekdays.
• One (1) or more years of experience with cash handling or operation of a cash register
• One (1) or more years of customer service work experience

Preferences

• Preference may be given to candidates with experience at cultural institutions/attractions/performance venues front-of-house operations
• Preference may be given to bilingual - Spanish/English candidates
