JOB SUMMARY:

The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and maintaining company’s software and hardware platforms by issue resolution and troubleshooting.  Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. This position is a part-time with full time potential within 6 months. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support, monitor and maintain Windows desktop, tablets & smartphones.
  • Assist users with desktop, business management programs, network or software troubleshooting, updating required software, firmware and/or applications.
  • Answering or escalating employee questions, instructing employees in the operations and maintenance of systems/equipment.
  • Issue resolution and troubleshooting for; software application errors, printer issues, shared resource access, hardware and software configuring and installations.
  • OS patch management, performing basic network and server level troubleshooting, providing on-site support in a very customer service-oriented environment.
  • Desktop support for hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Set-up, deploy and maintain end user equipment.
  • Perform network administration functions, user account permissions, password reset.
  • Monitor Sophos end-point protection software, and clean/repair if any infected workstation.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough and timely information in ticketing system.
  • Completion of day-to-day help desk support requests and assigned projects that require interaction with other department of SCFS.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to provide on-site & remote desktop support to users by using remote management platform.
  • Familiarity supporting TCP/IP, cables, IP Phones, workstation connectivity, printer connectivity, Wide Format Plotter
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Thorough knowledge of PC, hardware and configuration including related peripherals
  • Through knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook – Office 365
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to provide diligent, prompt, responses to users’ questions or PC issues.
  • Ability to research the development of solutions for newly identified issues and technologies
  • Ability to work independently, and on multiple high priority projects simultaneously.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:

  • 3 years related experience to technical support
  • Familiarity with Ruckus switches and Meraki AP’s administration
  • Understanding of IP Networking and troubleshooting
  • A+ Certification

MCDST / A+ certification(s)
