Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following – other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for processing Payroll for Nursing Department through Paycom; including approval of PDO, approval of punch change requests, and approval of timecards.
  • Responsible for creating and entering the schedule for the nursing department, as dictated by the Director of Nursing.
  • Responsible for the renewal of contracted services; including renewal of licenses and agreements, completion of Business Association Agreements, and verification of insurance and other necessary documents on or before date required.
  • Responsible for all processes of billing; including invoice coding, and timely submission to Finance for payment.
  • Responsible for processing, and timely submission of Long-Term Care Insurance documentation, as dictated by individual resident policies.
  • Answer telephones, route calls, take messages and provide routine information to callers.
  • Greet and direct visitors.
  • Perform clerical duties related to procedures such as admission, discharge, transfer and death.
  • Maintain current desk copy of resident room roster and telephone list.
  • Notify other departments of special needs (repairs, large spills, etc.)
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, safety and infection control standards.
  • Attend meetings and educational programs as requested.
  • Pick up mail and distribute according to current list.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Director of Nursing.

Qualifications


College degree is preferred. Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required. The employee must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.  Good communication skills are essential.  Must be able to communicate professionally with residents, visitors and staff verbally in person, on the telephone, and in writing.  Will demonstrate initiative and be capable of working with direct supervisor.  Have the ability to promote positive public relations with families, visitors and professionals through prompt, courteous, helpful and accurate interaction.  Must be able to create and modify documentation utilizing electronic health records.
