Job Description:

The primary responsibilities for this position will be to prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and to assist with month-end close. 

Starting pay rate ranges between $23/hr - $37/hr DOE

Top 3 Responsibilities and how you will be measured:
 

1)      Perform Journal Entries

Measurement: All tasks completed with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
 

2)      Perform Account Reconciliations

Measurement:  All tasks completed with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
 

3)      Assist with Closing the Books at Month End

Measurement:  All tasks completed with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
 

Essential Duties of the Position:

• Adjusting journal entries
• Transactional journal entries
• Account Reconciliations
• Reporting to management on any discrepancies or unusual transactions
• Preparation of balance sheet schedules
• Preparation of internal and external financial reporting
• Various administrative duties
   

Job Requirements: 

• Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as other applications.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or have equivalent combination of experience and formal education.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and require minimal supervision.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have a high level of professionalism.
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to organize, prioritize, and manage time.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, a person is regularly sitting in a standard office environment, at a desk, using a computer, phone, fax, and copy machine. This person may occasionally need to lift up to 20 pounds.
