SUMMARY

The Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for managing the success of our clients by building a relationship and nurturing the account. The RM will ensure that our clients are able to effectively support customers during the solar approval process.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Potentially responsible for performing a broad range of loan operation functions to support underwriting, portfolio management, and customer relationships for both residential solar and home improvement installers:

 

  • Build positive and productive relationships with clients for business growth.
  • Consult and assess internal and external factors that will streamline service delivery and raise client satisfaction with service issues.
  • Schedule regular meetings, discussions, teleconferences and potential visits to client offices to strengthen the relationships.
  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure that client requests are handled timely and accurately.
  • Provide client support and handle client communications effectively.
  • Respond to customer escalations quickly, inspiring confidence in service and customer loyalty.
  • Manage pipeline from daily installer reporting to track status of loans
  • Experience related to consumer underwriting and regulatory requirements
  • Review credit analysis based on pre-defined credit strategies and guidelines for risk
  • Manage assigned client relationships to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Underwrite Solar Loans according to internal policy and procedure
  • Provide client support for solar panel installers on how to use our proprietary loan origination software
  • Assist loan service providers with any loan customer support issues that fall outside routine support
  • Perform fraud verification activities to ensure the validity of customer information
  • Execute QA/QC scripts to ensure operational quality is maintained

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree is a plus or equivalent related work experience
  • Extensive background related to account management
  • Previous financial services and/or consumer lending experience is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, customer service and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with clients/customers regarding financial standing
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to function efficiently and utilize good time management skills in a fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Proficient computer skills with specific emphasis on Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills requiring sensitivity and discretion; capable of analyzing data; strong attention to detail; and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Successful candidate will have experience in consumer lending operations, preferably underwriting and customer support.
  • Candidate will be customer service focused, detail-oriented, process-driven, and like Sunlight Financial, excited to help customers go solar.
  • Experience utilizing various credit platforms a plus. Microsoft Excel and Outlook are mandatory.
