THE LEARNING LAMP Early Childhood Professional Development Coordinator Salary in the United States

The Early Childhood Professional Development Coordinator will champion opportunities for child care and preschool workers to participate in high quality professional development workshops and credit bearing course work. Job duties include communicating available opportunities, visiting programs, hosting informational workshops, and building relationships with and connecting child care providers to professional development opportunities for their staff. The individual will also provide guidance to workers in the field in choosing appropriate educational pathways and connecting them to institutes of higher learning.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills, the ability to self-direct their work, and a supportive, strengths-based approach to building the skills of workers in the field. Previous experience as a center director, supervisor, or in a similar role preferred. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field plus 5 years' experience in early learning. A Masters is preferred. This is a regional position and local travel is required, as well as travel to occasional state-level meetings. All travel will be compensated.
