And while you’re detail-oriented and find great satisfaction in correcting that typo two other people missed, you also never let the big picture out of your sight.

The day-to-day:

Your role as Account Executive’s is to support program execution and assist the agency team. You will be willing and able to:

  • Manage executional aspects of the creative development process, including securing client approvals and circulating feedback internally
  • Create all timelines and status reports, as well as track changes, approvals and direction from internal and client meetings
  • Assist in post-program analysis
  • Build, manage and track financials, from estimate development through to client and vendor invoicing
  • Monitor industry trends to inform client needs, presentations, POVs, budgets and creative brief.
  • Assisting in preparation of presentation decks and competitive reviews.
  • Assist account team in coordinating and producing special projects for clients
  • Perform administrative duties such as coordinating presentations, meetings and other regroups and taking meeting notes and reporting back to the entire group.

You’ll need to exhibit strong verbal and written business communication and presentation skills, enabling you to:

  • Lead internal meetings
  • Effectively communicate creative feedback to internal teams
  • Contribute to the development of project and/or annual client planning documents and presentations
  • Contribute to agency creative briefs

The Account Executive is a central person who touches all aspects of the agency and the client. As such, there are some characteristics the candidate will have:

  • Flexible, innovative and always willing to help.
  • Highly organized and able to handle large volumes of information and projects.
  • Ability to multitask with an eye for detail
  • Must be able to handle pressure well.
  • Expect to be the go-to person for Clients.
  • Ready to own projects and comfortable providing direction to Clients and Agency peers.
  • Anticipate potential problems and barriers
  • Identify key elements of a problem and offer creative solutions
  • Actively seek out internal agency resources to solve possible roadblocks
  • Creative thinker and clear communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to recognize confidential information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications
  • 3+ years of client services experience with Shopper marketing or consumer promotions background
  • Experience with the creative process
  • General knowledge of agency, consumer promotions, shopper marketing, event and advertising processes
  • Consumer/shopper or retail promotions experience preferred
  • Knowledge of social/mobile media
  • Familiarity with creating presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
