The St. James is seeking a Business Development Sales Manager at its flagship location in Springfield, Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the solicitation and development of new recreational/travel/camps/and league sports programming.
• Schedule, plan and conduct meetings with Sports Directors as appropriate
Participate in game day events to share and highlight the sports experience with existing and potential partners
• Execute sales strategy with the support from the marketing team and Sports Director
• Increase brand awareness for via community events such as but not limited to tabling at community events, schools, festivals, etc.
• Facilitate partnerships with community organizations and neighborhoods
QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced degree or work experience equating to an advanced degree
• Minimum of 4-8 years selling sports partnerships and programming
• Experience in business sports development and Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing recreational/travel team and league sporting partnerships. You will be responsible for delivering a high volume of new sports business and partnerships for all St. James sports programs while also building and maintaining relationships with our partners
• Proven track record of success in previous sports programming sales
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment
