Description

 

We are looking for a strong Assistant Community Manager in Glen Ellyn!  The Assistant  Manager provides vital support to the Community Manager of the residential community to which they are assigned. Position has an overall responsibility for ensuring the peak performance of the community by maintaining exceptional resident relationships, effectively exploring the market to identify opportunities, secure prospective residents, able to manage the fiduciary duties of the property and perform leasing responsibilities.  

 

 The ideal candidate will possess strong leasing ability, great customer service skills, experience with Yardi or other Property Management software, tech savvy, great rapport building skills, organized, and a team player! If this is how you’d describe yourself, we are interested!

Qualifications and Responsibilities


 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years leasing experience in a fast-paced residential rental community
  • A proactive approach, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate using clear, professional language
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal or no supervision
  • Knowledge of effective marketing, sales and closing techniques
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager/CRM
  • Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Addressing resident issues in a timely manner by
  • Provide an exceptional living experience for our residents by having a resident-focused approach
  • Uphold company directed goals for leasing and occupancy
  • Assist in lease administration activities, including abstracting leases and keeping our database current
  • Be able to work both individually and with a team
  • Ability to work closely with the maintenance staff to schedule repairs and organize routine maintenance checks
  • Coordinate tenant move ins and move outs, including furniture delivery and pick up
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of effective marketing, sales and closing techniques
  • Ability to learn and comply with industry legal requirements, especially related to federal and local Fair Housing Laws.
  • Ability to navigate stairs (select communities only), lift up to twenty pounds unassisted, and reach overhead and below
  • Availability to work Monday through Saturday on a rotating, five day schedule
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Performing any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager or Vice President of Operations
