Job TitleAssistant Property Manager

Reports to:  Property Manager

Job Summary: Assistant Property Manager provides vital support to the Property Manager of the residential community to which they are assigned. Position has overall responsibility for ensuring the peak performance of the community by maintaining exceptional resident relations, effectively exploring the market to identify opportunities to secure tenants, managing the residential ledgers and delinquency and assisting with leasing efforts.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  1. Minimum three years leasing experience in a fast-paced residential rental community
  2. Self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  3. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate using clear, professional language
  4. Knowledge of effective marketing, sales and closing techniques
  5. Ability to navigate stairs (select communities only), lift up to twenty pounds unassisted, and reach overhead and below
  6. Experience with Yardi Voyager and CRM
  7. Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
  8. Availability to work Monday through Saturday on a rotating, five day schedule
  9. Customer-focused approach
  10. Ability to learn and comply with industry legal requirements, especially related to federal and local Fair Housing Laws.
  11. Performing any other tasks as directed by the Property Manager or Regional Manager
  12. Experience in affordable housing
  13. Management experience is a plus
