Business Development & Proposal Coordinator

Cutting-edge environmental firm is seeking a Business Development & Proposal Coordinator.  The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent people skills and leadership abilities who will excel in a deadline driven environment.

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

• Leading and maintaining processes and procedures for proposal development
• Managing multiple overlapping active requests for proposal (RFP) among other business development tasks, balancing milestones and due dates
• Maintaining ongoing corporate proposal information and Bid Library with standard bid content
• Weekly and bi-weekly comprehensive tracking reports to track the status of proposals as well as monitoring leads and future opportunities
• Conducting preliminary evaluation of RFP, summarizing and distributing the opportunity for further evaluation
• Developing and managing the proposal plan and schedule, including bid team meetings
• Structuring, developing, and writing proposals and building the response around the RFP and leverage existing archived proposal information
• Working with internal subject matter experts to develop unique content
• Customizing customer references and resumes to reflect specific RFP criteria and requirements
• Monitoring all amendments and modifications to the RFP
• Seeking clarification throughout the RFP/procurement process
• Printing, assembling, mailing, and performing as-needed physical delivery of bids

The Proposal Coordinator may also coordinate meetings and participate in the development of client presentations for interviews.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong writing and grammar skills
• Creative
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Willingness to learn the federal and state proposal development process
• Environmental knowledge a plus
• Strong initiative, leadership skills and work ethic
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Excellent editorial skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, as well as in team-oriented environments
• Multi-tasking, strong organizational skills and time management
