Job Title: Delivery Foreman

Division: UTSS – Delivery

Reports To: Field Support Manager

FLSA Status: Salary Non-Exempt

 

Summary: The UTSS Delivery Foreman will be responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe, in-room delivery of hospital-grade medical equipment to include, but not limited to, x-ray, mammography, CT, MRI, Linear Accelerator and Cath-Lab equipment.

 

The Delivery Foreman will be the primary lead delivery specialist on-site, tasked with all customer communication, adherence to safety protocols, and management of the delivery team (up to 3 Delivery Specialists). The Delivery Foreman will work closely with original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) such as Siemens Healthineers and Phillips Medical to ensure safe and efficient delivery of medical equipment, damage free and within the specified timeframe. Additionally, this employee will work closely with UTSS administrative staff and lead installers to deliver feedback on projects, customer needs, and promote corporate values. Together with the UTSS Team, the Delivery Foreman will play a critical role in supporting UTSS growth, success, and delivering life-saving equipment to patients.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive a company-owned vehicle regionally to customer facilities for projects, arriving on-time and with appropriate tooling
  • Uncrate, lift, move, and transport equipment into or out of customer facilities safely, efficiently, and damage-free
  • Load and unload equipment from UTSS and/or contract trucks
  • Submit time and expenses daily via company-owned cell phone
  • Communicate all on-site issues, delays, or changes to the rigging manager and await confirmation on a revised plan prior to commencing project
  • Lead a daily safety briefing prior to the start of each project
  • Conduct a post-delivery review to define successes and explore opportunities for improvement
  • Complete all administrative and customer specific documentation
  • Operate, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles, forklifts, passenger vehicles, etc.
  • Coordinate delivery activities with other members of the delivery team, UTSS Installers, customers, and other on-site parties to complete assigned tasks
  • Follow all DOT regulations and state driving laws
  • Comply to all safety protocols and standards during all stages of project execution to avoid incidents and/or accidents and take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace
  • Read and understand specifications to include drawings, blueprints, technical manuals, delivery instructions
  • Follow detailed installation or dis-assembly instructions and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation
  • Assist in the deinstallation of equipment as needed and assigned by management
  • Perform light office duties such as additional research
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and warehousing
  • All other duties as assigned by management
  • Overnight Travel will be required as necessary to support business needs
  • Overtime will be required as necessary to support business needs

Education/Experience:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • 4-6 years of relative experience preferred

 

Specialized Training:

 

  • 2-3 years of forklift operation experience preferred
  • Rigging or equipment delivery experience preferred

 

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license required
  • OSHA 30 required – will be provided upon employment
  • DOT Medical Card required – will be provided upon employment
  • NCCCO certification preferred
