Position Summary

The Business Development Center Agent is responsible for supporting dealership personnel by educating potential customers about USAuto products and services via the internet and phone  The incumbent will pre-qualify and schedule dealership appointments for customers to allow for a quick and seamless purchasing experience.



  • Communicates with customers to identify purchasing needs.
  • Builds a rapport with customers to build a robust network of referrals.
  • Responds to internet leads in a timely manner by phone or email.
  • Answers sales phone calls and sets appointments.
  • Completes phone applications with potential customers.
  • Offers additional services and products to customer during pre-qualification call.
  • Makes at least 70+ daily outbound phone calls to potential customers.
  • Follows up with customers on a regular basis to encourage a visit to dealership.
  • Keeps abreast of available inventory to provide accurate information to potential customers.
  • Works cooperatively in a team work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 - 2 years or BDC, Call Center, and/or sales experience OR 2 - 4 years of customer service experience
  • Computer literacy to include data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
