Position Summary

The Detailer II is responsible for refurbishing the interior and exterior of all vehicles at USAuto Sales.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Detail Technician are as follows:

• Removes, repairs and reassembles interior components of vehicle (i.e. upholstery, steering wheel, console).
• Vacuums the interior of the vehicle to remove dirt and debris.
• Cleans and sanitizes upholstery and other surfaces.
• Utilizes multiple cleaning agents, applicators, brushes, and devices to complete all detailing tasks.
• Applies wax to vehicle and buffs surfaces to achieve desired shine.
• Treats fabric, leather, vinyl, and other surfaces with stain resistant chemicals to preserve material.
• Uses special cleaning solutions to remove difficult stains that do not respond to normal cleaning agents.
• Cleans engine and other components to remove grease.
• Paints vehicle chipped surfaces to restore condition and color.
• Wears protective gear while handling hazardous materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 - 4 years of detail experience including buffing and upholstery removal and reassembly
• Current state Driver’s License

Preferred

• Technical or Vocational certification in auto detailing
• IDA Certification
