Equipment Operator with Fine Grading Experience

Valley Landscaping of Fargo is currently seeking Equipment Operators with Fine Grading experience to join our landscaping team.

We are a locally owned landscaping , outdoor living and snow removal company with 20 years + experience and reputation to support our work. We provide a high level of customer service to both residential and commercial customers.

Our residential service area covers Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, and surrounding areas. Our commercial division works across the state of North Dakota, and in parts of Minnesota and South Dakota.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Must have Fine Grading experience
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training is highly preferred 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications. 
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
• May assist Laborer at various job sites as needed. May perform physical tasks involved with laying pipe and utility lines, and/or tasks involved with road construction and laying asphalt, etc.
