The Verana Technology team is seeking a highly skilled Technical Release Manager who will play an integral role to help us achieve our mission.
- Collaborate with Development teams, DevOps, QA, Data and Platform Engineering ensuring responsibilities for a release are fully met prior to release in an automated manner
- Strive towards improving existing processes with minimal friction for a seamless CI/CD process
- Create & maintain release checklists, provide documentation & cross-training for stakeholders
- Clearly scope out risks, define mitigation strategy for a given release
- Work with the development team to understand the impact of branches and code merges
- Hands on with provisioning of dev/test/prod environments with seamless movement of code from one environment to another
- Work flexible hours to support releases & environment refreshes for teams across different offices
- 5-7+ years of experience successfully managing change in a dynamic environment
- 2-3+ years Experience managing AWS code deploy/code commit and Git
- 3+ Experience automating manual process as well as knowledge of automation in a CI/CD environment
- Python, Bash, Groovy scripting experience
- Experience managing & configuring Development/Production and test servers in cloud and on premise
- Dedicated problem-solver who can work in a fast paced environment
- Experience collaborating with other team members in multiple teams diagnosing & debugging complex cloud based systems and investigating build, deployment and operations issues.
- Capable of working in an environment with fast turnaround time deadlines to solve critical issues
- Is able to excel in a matrix organization with people in technical and product roles
- Strong oral & written communicator, able to communicate at exec level; able to forge relationships with various parts of the organization
- BS or MS in computer science is preferred or equivalent work experience
