VILLAGE HEALTH PARTNERS Medical Assistant- Plano office Salary in the United States

Village Health Partners is seeking experienced, outgoing, and reliable Certified Medical Assistants for a variety of positions. We are a Family Practice office with locations in Plano, Frisco, and McKinney.

Essential Skills:

• Manages incoming and outgoing phone calls
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Works efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environment
• Manages patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules
• Reviews presenting issue, visit notes, history, orders, and updates appropriately within the EMR
• Assists physician with exams, conducts pre and post-vial tests and/or procedures as required
• Fluent in Medical Terminology & Medication Refill protocols
• Appropriately escalates issues outside of existing protocols to meet the needs of the patient
• Follows all HIPAA and privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegates
• Schedules appointments and queries clinical information from the EMR (e-Clinical Works)
• Meets performance and service level criteria as defined in “Performance Metrics”
• Works well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years related experience, preferably in a Primary Health Care setting
• Certified Medical Assistant – must be current
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experienced in properly handling confidential and sensitive information; knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
• Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical record systems
