Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Global Social Media Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing all global social media initiatives and campaigns for the Wunderman Thompson brand. You will create and launch social campaigns that drive brand awareness and reputation, work with key social media and digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook among others, as well as seek out emerging platforms that can help us grow our brand. You will coordinate and collaborate across the social media leads within the Wunderman Thompson network, organize a yearly social media calendar, develop creative assets, grow the Wunderman Thompson social network following, and define, evaluate and report on our most important social media KPIs.

What you’ll do: 

  • Follow Through | Launch social strategies and campaigns for the Wunderman Thompson brand and our agency’s offerings from inception through post launch.
  • Innovate | Oversee creative ideation and development to deliver best-in-class campaigns to drive brand awareness and reputation. Foster global social conversation and leverage to build vibrant communities.    
  • Collaborate | Work closely across brand, creative, paid social, PR and marketing teams to champion social-first ideas and execute global integrated activations, events, and strategies.
  • Learn and Develop | Stay connected with the network’s social leads, guide them through the social media best practices and our agency’s voice, as well as assist them with local social media channel merges and keeping the pages fresh and up to date. Develop paid social media campaigns to drive awareness, sign-ups for webinars, and new business leads.
  • Drive Results | Develop and own goals and performance metrics for campaigns; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendation for continuous improvement. Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.

  • Extensive experience working on a variety of social media marketing campaigns from inception to completion
  • Strong technical ability and social media platform experience
  • An ability to work to organizational deadlines and KPIs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work across a variety of departments and regions within our global agency
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with conducting audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Ability to use social media marketing tools such as Buffer
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Ability to form and channel an authentic brand voice
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Account teams
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
