About the Position:

As one of the friendly and energetic Business Development Specialists on our team, you will have a passion for helping us grow XY Planning Network! Some of the primary things you’ll be doing on a daily basis include working with inbound marketing leads via email and meeting daily phone meeting targets to ensure speedy responses to interested XYPN members. Additionally, you’ll be following up with internal resources, taking responsibility for tracking and proactively following up with existing leads in the pipeline, helping develop exciting new initiatives to generate leads, scheduling (fun!) networking events, and meticulously tracking data.


What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Help qualify and manage lead/prospect pipeline
  • Conduct timely and enthusiastic introductory and follow up calls with prospective members
  • Manage tracking and follow up with existing leads in the pipeline
  • Answer incoming emails with questions about XYPN membership
  • Maintain an accurate database of prospective members
  • Help maintain insightful monthly reports based on pipeline data
  • Attend 10 to 20 industry events/conferences per year

Other Responsibilities:

  • Shared accountability for new membership growth
  • Manage conference swag inventory


What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Authorized to live and work in the United States
  • BA/BS or similar degree in an applicable field, or relevant experience
  • Previous phone sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Motivated to meet sales goals
  • Strong tech savviness and the ability to pick up new technology quickly
  • Ability to manage sales data reporting, including tracking and reporting via spreadsheet and our CRM software (you’re the master of ensuring nothing falls through the cracks!)
  • Experience working within HubSpot is a plus, but not required
  • Background in personal finance or financial advisor facing topics is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to convey positive tone through email
  • Ability to speak comfortably and confidently, both face-to-face at conferences and over the phone
  • Comfortable and adept at working in a partially virtual environment
  • Flexibility, as daily tasks will evolve over time
  • A high sense of personal responsibility and integrity
  • Desire to support the growth of the next generation of financial planners!

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $51,616.00 / year

  • Relocation assistance available, if applicable

  • 401K (4.5% match on 6% contribution)

  • 8 paid holidays
