Position Overview

The Bid Desk Analyst will understand and execute pricing tactics and approaches. This position will assist in the management of Customer Specific Pricing tools and calculations. By working closely with management this position will ensure inbound pricing and bid desk cases are managed effectively and will drive sales and margin according to company strategy and direction. The Bid Desk Analyst role requires working with individual team members to support closing sales opportunities to grow revenue and close the deal at the highest margin possible, given the situation. This position must coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain and Product Management to ensure cross-functional understanding of individual opportunities in support of the business growth and margin goals.  The Bid Desk Analyst will develop and suggest various approaches to capture and utilize data most efficiently to support decisions and workflow. You will significantly contribute to the ongoing methodologies for optimizing bid processes, pricing strategies, and tactical approaches to increase margin. This position will drive accurate and strategic vendor program utilization to both win deals and increase margin.

The Bid Desk Analyst is primarily responsible for:

  • Quoting and Bid Response Expert
  • Collect price, Cost, OEM and Supply Chain programs and benchmark against competitive insights as well as NPD to produce comprehensive Deal Sheets for every Bid Desk Quote, RFP and RFI
  • Maintain database of Win/Loss for all Bid Desk deals that includes POS, PPM, Supply Chain and all other relevant information
  • Analyze, Audit, and Enhance CPT calculations by item, customer, category and segment
  • Partner with Supply Chain and PPM to ensure all programs and trade agreements are being leveraged to reduce cost when calculating pricing proposals
  • Improve Win rate and GM Yield on opportunities that the Bid Desk is engaged on
  • Identify when an opportunity is at low margin or is not solvent and the contributing factors

 

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

Education

  • Bachelors

 Required Experience

  • 2-4 Years’ Experience in data analysis, program management and/or partner management
  • Working knowledge of NPD Data and proficiency with analyzing large data sets
  • Working knowledge of AX and CRM
  • Working knowledge of Zones CPT algorithms and the ability to implement changes
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI and the ability to enhance reports to facilitate change
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications
