ZUME INC. 3D Print Technician Salary in the United States

Summary:

The 3D Print Technician will be conducting 3D printing jobs, analyzing the results, and improving the production process. You will manage supply inventory levels and ensure that each project completed quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up 3D print jobs
• Analyzing the results of the printed files and improving the production process
• Ensuring production is completed per procedure to meet applicable quality standards
• Post-processing including but not limited to machining, cleaning 3D printed parts
• Monitoring internal and external orders and producing finished products
• Machine set-up and calibration
• Post-processing of parts (including removal from machine, sanding)
• Final inspection of finished parts
• Managing production and supply inventory levels
• Responsible for daily cleaning, equipment maintenance and safety compliance
• Working with the organization to support experimental and new product development

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Hands-on experience with Fused Filament Fabrication (aka Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printers and printing techniques
• Ability to become proficient with printing on Ender-3 Pro, Prusa i3 MK3S, or other similar 3D printers and preparing digital files
• 1+ years of experience as a 3D Print Technician, manufacturing or similar experience
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of CAD design, e.g., Solid Works or similar (preferred)

• Appreciation for building and working with materials hands-on especially with small, delicate parts
• Interested in learning more about new manufacturing technologies and improving existing processes
• Extremely high attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude.

• Flexible timing and able to work independently, occasional evening and weekend work will be required. This is a four on four off schedule. Day and night shifts are available.
