The Director of Building and Facilities Operations develops and monitors budgets and approves contracts to meet current and future needs. Directs the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of an organization's facilities and properties. Being a Director of Building and Facilities Operations evaluates and selects contractors for facility projects and delivery of services. Oversees all building operations, including repairs, refurbishments, and the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems. In addition, Director of Building and Facilities Operations ensures building operations meet service standards and comply with all local laws and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to functional management. The Director of Building and Facilities Operations manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
