Manages the development of inventory replenishment models and forecasts to make purchasing decisions to ensure optimal inventory and stock levels meet customer demand. Being a Demand Planning & Buying Manager continuously monitors sales, inventory, and buying trends and adjusts stock levels to meet demand. Creates a buying plan and recommends order qualities and pricing to guide inventory replenishment and new purchasing. In addition, Demand Planning & Buying Manager maintains data and analytics to refine forecasts, generate reporting and improve replenishment processes. Works with vendors and buyers to facilitate ordering, pricing, and inventory deliveries. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director.
