The Membership Assistant II processes subscriptions, membership applications, or member data changes. Responds to member inquiries regarding membership, educational programs, events, publications, billing, or other problems using a phone, e-mail, or chat format. Being a Membership Assistant II documents inquiries and interactions using a ticketing or customer relationship management (CRM) system. Directs members to the resources to answer questions or provide requested information. In addition, Membership Assistant II may draft correspondence and promotional communications or conduct outreach calling to solicit new members or promote events. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Membership Assistant II works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working as a Membership Assistant II typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
