Supervising Librarian Salaries in the United States

The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the library management software, currently the Horizon ILS, as well as supervising and coordinating the work of two librarians.

Experience leading, supervising, mentoring, and providing development opportunities for librarians and staff.

With experience, school librarians may also become responsible for supervising junior librarians, clerks, and others within the library.

Five years of increasingly responsible and varied professional library experience, at least two years of which shall have been comparable in level of responsibility to a Supervising Librarian II in charge of a major section of a large library or a large independent branch library.

Reporting to a Principal Librarian, is responsible for supervising assigned staff engaged in a variety of activities ranging from routine clerical work to providing library services to patrons and professional librarians.
