Position Overview The Executive Director (“ED”) is the chief executive officer of the Maltz Museum (“Museum”) and is appointed by the Board of Directors of the Maltz Museum (“Board”). The ED works closely with the Board, staff, volunteers and other groups to support, promote and provide leadership with regard to the mission, purposes, values and goals of the Museum. The ED is the overall leader and facilitator of the Museum community and bears ultimate responsibility for the integration of the Museum values. The ED has ultimate responsibility for the personnel, budget, permanent and special exhibitions, education and development programs, legal and fiscal affairs, and facilities. The ED ensures the Museum has strong outreach, engaging with local and regional communities including individuals, education, civic, business and cultural organizations and government agencies, as well as the local, regional, and national Jewish communities.
