POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Sports Director and Sports Coordinator the Soccer Referee will officiate all soccer games between the ages of 6-10. Promote and incorporate the YMCA core values and mission into all aspects of the job and in the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Fulfill the YMCA's mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Officiate all sports games between the ages of 6-10 year olds Maintaining concentration of the game and reacting quickly to rule violations on the field Reviewing all sport related equipment and playing surfaces for safe play. Keep an ongoing understanding of the rules and regulations for each sport and age group Recognizing when an injury occurs and responding accordingly within the laws of the game. Performs any other tasks assigned by the Sports Director or Sports Coordinator.
