GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this job must have Dragline mechanical repair experience or equivalent and will be required to pass an established weld test. Must possess a strong working mechanical knowledge to accomplish required work on dragline heavy gear box repair and overhauls, including knowledge of general maintenance practices encountered on draglines. Applicant must demonstrate a strong awareness and understanding of work-related safety practices. Must be physically capable to work on heights above 50 feet, to perform heavy lifting of 50 lbs. or more, to work in confined areas and to work in awkward positions requiring prolonged bending or kneeling. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION’S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The heavy equipment Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for all repairs and services associated with the heavy equipment. Mechanic will be responsible for assisting service oilers to perform PM’s and any other related job duties as assigned. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this position must have prior experience and/or knowledge of tasks associated with repairs and servicing of dozers, haulers, blades, scrapers, loaders, pickups, trucks and other light vehicles and maintenance of diesel equipment. SERVICE OILER DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONS ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The heavy equipment Service Oiler will be responsible for all services associated with the heavy equipment at the Mine. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for this position must have prior experience and/or knowledge of tasks associated with service oiling of heavy mobile mining and support equipment. Must have fundamental understanding of the properties of the various types of fuels, oils, greases and lubricants used to service equipment. Basic mechanical knowledge and skill to inspect wear components and hydraulic lines and fittings while servicing equipment is required.
