Supply Chain Supervisor supervises the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Oversees team and coordination with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Supervisor responds to escalations of bottlenecks or problem areas and proposes solutions. Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance. Additionally, Supply Chain Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Supply Chain Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
