Acts as the primary first point of contact for Leave of Absence In-Take, general Leave of Absence questions and claims problem solving triage.

Assists in developing policies and conducting FMLA, STD, W/C and other related leave training for managers and supervisors, and also assists in defining and developing the process for the city's FMLA, STD & W/C program within the scope and intent of those policies.

Works cross functionally with other areas of the agency to ensure effective operation to achieve organizational objectives as it pertains to disability and leave management.

Develops metrics for tracking leave of absence utilization and provides periodic reports to Senior Management.

Serves as the initial point of contact for all City County employees as well as a liaison between Third party Administrator's (TPA) for all requests regarding Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short Term Disability (STD), Leave of Absence (LOA), Workers Compensation (W/C), and Military Leave.

Contributes to growing the expertise of our stakeholders, by participating in summit meetings, tough case reviews, resolution of escalated cases and consultation.
