Events Manager – 4 or 5 days a week!!!

I’m currently working with a leading law firm with a global presence, known for their progressive approach and commitment to excellence who are seeking an experienced Events Manager to join their dynamic Marketing & Business Development team. This role is crucial in implementing a busy programme of events, including seminars, conferences, client hospitality, and webinars, both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Business Development team and the wider firm to plan and manage events throughout their lifecycle, including defining objectives, planning meetings, checklists, budgets, email invitations, vendor management, attending in-person events, managing virtual platforms, data management, and post-event analysis.
  • Work with lawyers and the Marketing & Business Development team to develop appropriate target lists for each event and track lead generation post-event. Measure success against outlined objectives and provide recommendations for follow-up activity.
  • Develop strategic events in collaboration with key stakeholders, providing first-class, innovative event design and planning support, and manage event delivery where appropriate.
  • Manage in-person client events, such as conferences, seminars, webinars, and drinks receptions, with a primary focus on London.
  • Run virtual and hybrid events, providing briefs to all speakers, managing trial runs, and offering training and on-the-day technical support.
  • Support and manage key internal events such as Town Halls, Partner Conferences, and Corporate Responsibility events.
  • Oversee the firm’s calendar of events, including producing the quarterly global events dashboard and implementing recommendations to improve event effectiveness and alignment with strategy.
  • Analyse event management practices in line with the firm’s strategy and support the implementation of best practices globally, including training.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Previous events experience within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously on specific projects, delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in running in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, as well as supervising and training others.
  • Excellent project management skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Flexibility to attend events outside of normal working hours and travel within the UK, with potential for some overseas travel.
  • Previous experience with InterAction and Vuture is desirable.
