We are currently looking for a Chef to work with our integral team at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY

• £14.04 per hour
• 3 permanent roles available
• Full time – 5 days over 7 including some weekend shifts
• Shifts ranging between 6.30am – 8.30pm

What You'll Be Doing

• You’ll be cooking and preparing food to the highest standard, adhering to allergen and calorie specifications
• Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating well
• Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
• Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
• Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
• To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans - following hygiene and safety procedures
• Occasional operating of tills and handling cash
• Report to line manager any feedback (complaints, suggestions, etc.)
  
  

Experience

• Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent)
• Reliable transport required (remote area with limited public transport)
• A confident chef
• Security checks & DBS required for this role (references to cover a minimum of three years)
• Flexibility and the ability to innovate
