We are currently looking for a Chef to work with our integral team at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk, YO7 3EY

- 3 permanent roles available
- Full time – 5 days over 7 including some weekend shifts
- Shifts ranging between 6.30am – 8.30pm

What You'll Be Doing
- You’ll be cooking and preparing food to the highest standard, adhering to allergen and calorie specifications
- Work well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating well
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
- To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans - following hygiene and safety procedures
- Occasional operating of tills and handling cash
- Report to line manager any feedback (complaints, suggestions, etc.)
Experience
- Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent)
- Reliable transport required (remote area with limited public transport)
- A confident chef
- Security checks & DBS required for this role (references to cover a minimum of three years)
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate
