Chefs Of Varying Levels For New Kitchen Team Expansion

Pay ranging from 14-16 depending on role and experience
My client has a couple of exciting opportunities for chefs of varying levels to head up a new Cornish kitchen venture for the resort. They are based in a picturesque setting in the North of Cornwall. The resort offers holiday cottages, a Cornish deli, state-of-the-art gym and spa and animal centre.
They are looking for the chefs to captivate the resort guests by taking them on the Cornish journey through the food experience you will offer them with the use of market gardens, of which you will contribute to growing schedules and cold smokers to create exciting dishes.
Head Chef Duties
- Menu creation & specials (in-line with the Cornish brand)
- Kitchen Management
- Leading the staff
- Upholding of food safety systems
Sous/Jr Sous
- Lead the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
- Upholding the standards of the kitchen
- Training of staff
Pastry Chef
- Kitchen pastry creation
- Menu contribution
- Afternoon tea offering (creating the offering and new ideas)
- Providing treats for the Cornish deli
Breakfast Chef
- Take control of the cooked breakfast offering
- Utilise the best Cornish produce
- Ensure highest standards and food safety
You will work with a family-feel team, that are calm, level-headed and can handle the challenge of taking the kitchen to new heights. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a busier kitchen environment and be able to uphold a strong food safety management system.
You will benefit from a challenging new role, with the backing of a multi-million pound business to create new content for the resort.
Working 40-45 hrs per week.
