About the Job Provide telephone service and first line advice for general employee relations enquiries – escalate within HR as appropriate. Support the HR team in ensuring that managers follow the correct employee relations escalation process. Ensuring that the wider business is educated on internal HR resources and external adviceline protocol Support the Business and HR services with appropriate escalations with HR systems Workday, providing timely advice and support Partner with Retail districts in the UK, as defined by the HR Team to provide HR functional support to Stores and Store Management. This will include providing company representative support during formal meetings [investigations, PIP, and Flexible working requests, Disciplinary etc] Assist with the management of HR content on the internal company portal including policy updates and create new pages to support business need and HR initiatives To provide input on policy reviews by researching and staying ahead of legal timelines and updates To support the HR Generalists to have a proactive approach in driving down employee turnover, creating action plans for high attrition stores, and sharing best practice approaches across the region and cluster Partner with the HR Generalists to support Retail districts, to provide HR functional support and advice to Store Management. To maintain a dynamic strategy which ensures managers are upskilled and empowered to reduce employee relations cases and escalations Maintain and update all employee files and archiving ensuring a best-in-class consistent approach to administration Provide general administration, including collating information, and reporting data to support to HR team as required Provide support and back up to the Payroll team including providing cover during leave and absence Conducting HR Inductions and Exit Interviews Support the business as required with HR initiatives / events/ and communications as and when required As a member of the HR team, focus on value added HR intervention, and consulting back to the HR Team on driving efficiencies and eliminating nonvalue added activities Stay ahead of HR innovation, changes to employment law and best practice in the industry Attend seminars and conferences provided by our partners where appropriate To connect regularly and have a valuable contribution to HR Administration network across the cluster to ensure consistency in ways of working About You Experience: Previous experience working as part of a HR function would be preferable Functional Competencies: Understanding and previous experience of UK employment law Computer literate and system minded Proven ability to build and maintain productive working relationships Well-organized, detail minded and highly accurate Result oriented and business minded High integrity Team player and collaborative style Specialized Knowledge/Technical Skills: Positive outlook Enthusiasm Working in confidential environment Driven to achieve results Passionate and determined Commercially minded Original and authentic Decision Making and Problem solving: Working on own initiative, proactive and a self-starter Written and verbal English Problem Solving Engaging people and building rapport Excellent communication Well balanced and calm in a crisis Internal & External Relationships: Interpersonal skills Successful candidate will be based in Swan Valley, Northampton or London and must be able to travel there twice a week.
