The Role Our client is embarking on an exciting journey of digital transformation and are on the lookout for a driven and innovative Product Owner to lead the charge on key projects and shape the future of product delivery within our organization. As a seasoned Product Owner, you're a natural at gathering requirements and managing a prioritized backlog. You have the ability to visualise the larger picture while balancing stakeholder expectations with business needs. Your keen listening skills, creative flair, and attention to detail will thrive in our environment where “anything is possible.” Responsibilities Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assess needs and prioritize the product backlog based on business value or ROI, aligning it with strategic objectives. Lead the product roadmap, identifying growth opportunities and implementing them effectively. Define and refine backlog items (including epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria) to guide our Agile development team. Evaluate value, develop business cases, and prioritize tasks to ensure focus on high-value items aligned with product strategy. Represent the client's perspective, providing clear vision and direction to teams and stakeholders throughout projects. Manage product scope, document changes, and mitigate obstacles to ensure successful completion of release and sprint goals. Set sprint goals, and plan for releases, iterations, and updates. Understand end-to-end customer experiences and dependencies, acting as the product's ambassador and main point of contact. Represent our team in front of stakeholders, clients, or users. Stay updated with Agile/Scrum best practices and refine our agile methodology based on feedback and results. Experiences Required Proven track record as a Product Owner of complex digital products in an Agile environment, ideally in an agency setting. Deep understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies. Ability to prioritise features effectively using a range of tools. Creative and strategic thinker with a clear vision for digital product development. Experience defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products. Skilled in using analytics tools to track user value and team performance. Practical experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) and waterfall project management techniques. Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle. Proficiency in workflow management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc. Experience with project management tools like Smartsheets or MS Project. Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, with great attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and clients.
