The Role
The Associate Director of Media Strategy will be responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive media strategies that align with our clients' marketing objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of media channels, audience targeting, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B media planning and buying, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
As part of the GGM (Global Growth Markets) Centre of Excellence (COE), the Associate Director will collaborate closely across COE functions, inc. Partner Marketing, Measurement & Analytics and Case Studies.
This role will serve as advisor and subject matter expert to core stakeholders, namely Field Marketing teams across GGM regions. Strong alliance is required to help educate & guide teams and ensure activities and outcomes are closely aligned to business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated media strategies that align with client goals and drive business results, across various campaign types, including full-funnel, ABM and lead generation.
- Lead the media strategy planning process, including audience analysis, forecasting, re-targeting and budget allocation.
- Lead the execution of media plans across various digital channels, including social, connected TV, and digital out-of-home.
- Collaborate with in-house Brand & Creative teams, MarTech and Analytics teams to ensure cohesive and effective full-funnel campaign execution.
- Utilise data and insights to optimise media performance and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and track key metrics & KPIs for campaign/program success.
- Fully understand Cognizant’s MarTech stack and support the team in leveraging on a daily basis.
- Manage relationships with media vendors and negotiate media buys to achieve the best value for clients.
- Mentor and develop a team of media strategists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of, and impart information related to industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media strategy and execution.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (preferable)
- Highly experienced in B2B media planning and strategy across core channels and platforms (including lead generation), with a focus on integrated campaigns.
- Proven track record of successfully developing/executing media strategies, driving business outcomes.
- Some media agency experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Hands-on proficiency in media planning tools and software.
- Experience working with in-house procurement teams and managing vendor relationships.
