We are seeking a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team. This permanent position involves working 1-1 and in small groups with children who have specific special educational needs. The role is for 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
This school is based in Watford and need someone that is confident with SEN needs and has experience working with children that have additional needs along with proven results of increased activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs on a 1-1 basis and in small groups.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCo, SEN team, and external advisors.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help children develop independence and confidence.
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in numeracy and literacy (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the class teacher and SEN team.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and approachable personality.
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is advantageous.
