With significant client demand, they are expanding rapidly and are looking for a Project Director to spearhead their ambitious growth plans and projects. Role Overview: As the Project Director, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage client relationships, and ensure that every aspect of the project aligns with their high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires not only technical expertise but also a strong focus on networking and business development to secure new opportunities and partnerships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Oversee all phases of data centre construction projects, from planning and design to execution and handover. Lead and mentor a team of project managers, helping them to progress their professional qualifications and understand best practices.
  • Project Management: Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Quality & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety across all project sites. Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, close, relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction. Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Networking & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data centre sector. Network with industry leaders, attend conferences, and represent the company in business development activities.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Drive innovation in construction practices, focusing on sustainable building methods and energy-efficient solutions. About you:
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in data centre construction.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading large, complex construction projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Business Acumen: Strong networking skills with experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data centre design and construction, including infrastructure, networking, and MEP systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or masters in Construction Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional membership with the RICS, IOB, RIBA or CIBSE etc.. In return: Excelent salary, full package and bonus Uncapped career progression
