This role is part-time 18.75 hours per week, with hours worked over at least three days per week, between Monday and Thursday. For the right candidate we can be flexible around when the hours are worked. Initially onsite and then two days office and one day work from home.

  • We are looking for candidates with experience in a similar training support role.
  • This is a new role and you will have the chance to shape the role. You will be part of the (fun) HR team
  • We are based in Stewartby (outside of Bedford and 20min drive from Milton Keynes)
Responsibilities:
Description.

This person will perform a coordination role for a range of training-related activities across the company.

Purpose of the Training Coordinator role.
  • The purpose of this role is to support managers and Plant Administrators to plan and record training efficiently and consistently across the company
Our training includes:

  • Operational training
    , to include technical training and Health and Safety training, inductions
  • Corporate training including topics such as legally required training, Cybersecurity, mandatory training and developmental training including management development, Insights, company / HR induction

Key responsibilities
  • Training needs:
  • Working with our Compliance team, coordinate the management of the corporate training skills matrix for all corporate and technical roles (which roles need what training and certification)
  • Maintain and update the corporate training skills matrix with required changes, such as due to new legal or operational needs
  • Guide managers to what training each role and new starters require

Training delivery


  • Help coordinate the consistent delivery of training across our sites.
Training records:

  • Working with Compliance, HR and Plant Administrators, maintain a system for recording training across the company

  • Ensure that training is recorded consistently across the organisation;

  • Which courses were run (and when and where)
  • Who attended each course, ensure certification is completed and training is recorded for audit. This includes recording the attendees for each role

  • Create a central list of training suppliers including the courses they cover across the company, and keep this document up to date.

Training reports:

  • Training Compliance. Create regular reports on training and manage certificates to ensure all are in date, and pre-plan for any that are expiring
  • Manage a system to notify plant managers and managers when training or certificates are expiring
  • Create regular training reports on the training that has been conducted
Training planning:
  • Plan Corporate training, including management training and Insights
  • Book operational training, as required

Training course and supplier feedback
:
    • Ensure feedback on training courses and suppliers is collected and collated as part of quality management and continuous improvement


Training calendar, booking and planning:
  • Create and maintain a training calendar of future and regular training so other teams or Plants could book onto this
  • Create and manage a booking system for company-wide training courses, coordinating with trainers and external training suppliers
  • Manage requests and waitlists for future courses
  • Notify relevant managers of the training that is coming up
Financial and audits:
  • Raise purchase orders and ensure payment
  • Support the preparation of audit responses and company certification exercises
Qualifications:
  • Experiece coordinating training activity
  • Understanding of managing training records and certificates
  • Undertanding of Sharepoint shared databases
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Microsoft Powerpoint (to develop management reports on training)
  • Good interpersonal skills and good written and spoken English
  • Desirable: Understanding of technical training would be an advantage
  • Desirable: Understanding of how to pull reports for bespoke systems like Knowbe4
