I am working with an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to take on a degree qualified ciivl engineer with a keen interest in Planning. With a strong forward order book with plenty more tenders in the works, they are increasing the size of the work winning department to adjust to the increase in workload.
As The Assistant Planner You Will Be Responsible For
- Creating, amending, updating, and developing construction programmes detailing activity-based lists of sequential works with milestones, start/finish dates, durations, critical paths, resources, and labour/plant/material resources.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders and addressing potential changes and obstacles to the programme.
- Analysing potential programme risks, developing contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to project schedules, and providing recommendations and solutions to keep projects on track.
- Supporting estimating/commercial team and quantity surveyors to advise on project progress and change in commercial events/improvements.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A degree or certificate in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Great communication skills
- A punctual and professional approach to tasks
