Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnered with a manufacturing business in their search for a Production Supervisor.
- Brief description of the Production Supervisor
The Supervisor is responsible for Manufacturing Staff to ensure daily work is conducted in a safe manner and in conformance to all company procedural requirements.
To ensure that all works are supervised and administered as per the requirements of all instructions/procedures and schedules issued.
To ensure, in conjunction with Operations Manager, Production Director and Manufacturing Staff that all documentation is filled in accordingly (QC inspections are completed prior to despatching any Fabrication).
- Main duties and Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor
- To ensure that all employees are made fully aware of Health and Safety issues in their area of work and that all Safe systems of work and Risk Assessments are in place and that all operators are effectively trained.
- Responsible to ensure all incidents and unsafe acts are reported and correctly investigated in conjunction with HSE dept, management and company policy.
- Supervisor is responsible for and to encourage and promote the manufacturing to maintain a Safe Working environment in their area of work and to maintain housekeeping to standards set by management.
- To fabricate in the most efficient manner to the correct quality and quantity to meet the planned production schedules.
- Realising agreed efficiency objectives and Goals as set out by management.
- Leading, Motivating, supervising and training all manufacturing staff in your area of responsibility.
- Ensure that all production and quality documentation and timesheets are filled in correctly by the manufacturing staff. Identifying and providing Training as required to ensure this is done effectively.
- To maintain quality of the fabrication(s) and working to WIS / Procedures issued for a specific task.
- To provide daily feedback and updates to your Manager on the progress of allocated work.
- Attend and Participate in weekly production meetings if required, taking actions as required.

Qualifications
Required: Supervisory Experience
Desirable: Time served sheet metal worker.
Experience
