Linsco are currently recruiting for a Site Manager in Wolverhampton to start work on a new build housing site.
We are looking for someone to be able to start this placement immediately - however no CIS payments will be authorised for this role - Strictly PAYE or Umbrella PAYE.
You will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams working on the installation and integration of various energy-efficient and sustainable systems within a housing development project. This includes managing the fitting of solar panels, heating systems, new water cylinders, insulation, scaffolding, roofing, and lighting. The role demands a strong understanding of at least one of these elements, coupled with the ability to ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management: You will oversee and coordinate the activities of specialised teams tasked with installing solar panels, heating systems, water cylinders, insulation, roofing, scaffolding, and lighting. This will involve ensuring that each team operates efficiently and that their work integrates seamlessly with the broader project objectives.
Health and Safety Compliance: A critical aspect of this role is ensuring that all work adheres to stringent health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols on site, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring that all team members are equipped with and adhere to the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Technical Oversight: While experience in scaffolding is not mandatory, you should possess a strong working knowledge of at least one of the systems being installed. This expertise will be crucial in guiding teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that installations meet both technical specifications and safety standards.
Qualification Requirements
Mandatory Certifications: Candidates must hold Health & Safety, First Aid, and SMSTS certifications. A CSCS card is also required, with a preference for candidates holding a Black CSCS card, though Gold will be accepted.
Asbestos Awareness: Understanding and awareness of asbestos is crucial, given the nature of refurbishment and installation work.
Scaffolding Awareness: While formal qualifications in scaffolding are not required, scaffolding awareness is desirable. You should be able to identify potential issues and ensure that scaffolding work is performed safely.
