GB Projects Ltd is an ambitious and growing family run commercial furniture manufacturer who have been successfully operating for over 50 years. We operate from a 30,000sqft office and manufacturing facility based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and specialise in the manufacture of high-quality commercial furniture.
The Role
If you are a hardworking, enthusiastic and highly organised Production and Purchasing Administrator who wants to join a growing team, this is the role for you. This role would be suitable for someone ambitious who likes having the varied responsibilities that working in a small team brings. This role will give the right candidate the opportunity to grow with the business and take on more responsibility as they develop.
Primary Responsibilities
Entering client POs onto the company ERP System, check pricelists to ensure costs are correct and communicate professionally with the client to advise any amendments.
Create production information which will include production route cards, adding cutting lists, works orders and ensuring all job information such as drawings is available on the ERP system.
Handle inbound calls politely and professionally and transfer to relevant persons.
Raise Material Purchase Orders which will involve regular communication with the wider team on material requirements, stock checks, communicating with suppliers and sourcing the best prices.
Liaise with the Warehouse Team Leader to create delivery notes once products are ready to despatch and notify clients.
Work alongside the Operations Manager to assist with creating reports to review production KPI's.
Requirements
Exceptional data input accuracy is required in this role.
Must have over 2 years' experience in a similar role, manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.
The ability to manage your time effectively.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal as you will be required to communicate with staff, clients and suppliers on a regular basis.
Ability to work in a highly organised and efficient manner in all aspects of your role.
Good IT skills - with experience using Microsoft packages and excellent knowledge of the company ERP system.
Good general material knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers.
Experience sourcing best pricing and service from material suppliers during the ordering process.
